I cannot believe the blogosphere has spent the entire day freaking out over porn social networks on Ning. Who gives a rat’s ass? So what if there are truly a bunch of porn or adult social networks on Ning? Does it really take anything away from the service? Does it prove anything about the viability of their business (or lack thereof if that’s your take)? What are we getting so uptight about anyways?

And yes, there are a *lot* of networks on Ning that are domain mapped and don’t get accounted for by Quantcast and others. But that point in and of itself is irrelevant. Bottom line is, leave them alone and move on. It doesn’t matter.

I think they should just be separated so someone browsing the ning networks doesn’t happen upon one unintentionally. Something like Ning.com and Ningporn.com that way its clear and ning can really promote the porn that way if they choose.

Porn is what makes the internet run, let’s face it, ning is just cashing in on what others are too stupid/affraid to do. -
I myself have used ning for a porn social network called splute.com
